Passeport / Visas
Faithful to its tourist reputation and welcoming tradition, the Kingdom of Morocco is one of the most open Nations. Citizens of 70 countries can visit Morocco for up to 90 days without any other document than their passport valid for at least 3 months on the date of arrival. The Government requires all travelers from the European Union to have a valid passport, at least until the end of their stay. A passport is mandatory, the identity card is no longer sufficient to enter the country. You can stay a maximum of 3 months on the territory, beyond that, you should apply.
For nationalities subject to visas, Morocco has launched an electronic visa issuance system that will replace the traditional passport-based visa. This format of electronic visa (e-Visa) will facilitate, to foreigners subject to the visa, the rapid obtaining, within 24 hours or 72 hours maximum, the travel document for Morocco, without moving to the consulates of the Kingdom. The processing of visa applications will be done via a web platform, managed by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which specifies that the validity of the e-Visa will be 30 days, with nevertheless the possibility of extending the visa for 6 months in multiple entries.
Entry into Morocco is conditioned by the obligation to present a valid vaccination pass (the European vaccination pass is recognized in Morocco) or the negative result of a PCR test less than 72 hours old before boarding and a passenger health form to be downloaded before the trip (it is also distributed on board the planes and ferries).
SAFETY INFORMATION
Morocco is a safe country to travel to as long as you understand its laws and cultural customs. Its crime rates are relatively low. In general, the risks are relatively low. The majority of visitors have an enjoyable experience, but it’s always better to stay vigilant and use common sense.
CURRENCY
Moroccan Dirham (MAD) is the official currency in Morocco. You can exchange money into Dirhams in an exchange office. The exchange rate between EURO/US dollars and MAD is typically 1 Euro for 10,80 MAD and 1 US dollar for 10,79 MAD.
Visa or MasterCard are widely accepted in Morocco. However, the bank card is not the most used means of payment in Morocco, it used more for withdrawal than for payment. Paying in Morocco in cash. ATMs are widely used, and credit cards are usually accepted in restaurants and hotels of big cities and important tourist areas. Compared to Europe or the US, the budget you will need for food, accommodation or travel is relatively low.

Morocco has a Mediterranean climate. The weather in October is in general perfect. The amount of rain in October is normal with an average of 57mm (2.2in). It rains on average a total of 7 days. The average maximum daytime temperature lies around 24.0°C (75.2°F).
If you enjoy looking at a blue sky and love the sun than this is a great time to visit Tétouan with 208 hours of sun. October is known as one of the best months to visit Tétouan. Bring a rain jacket just in case since it will be raining a few days during this period. Also bring your shorts or a skirt because it can be very warm or even hot.
